SnapSwap is fully licensed and regulated by the financial regulator in Luxembourg (CSSF). SnapSwap holds a Principal Mastercard Membership which allows the issuing of credit and debit cards and processing the transactions. SnapSwap is a member of the ABBL, the Luxembourg Bankers’ Association, the oldest and largest professional association in the financial sector and is SEPA homologated.
The everest project was started by SnapSwap’s CEO, Denis Kiselev. An entrepreneur himself, he is all too well aware of the difficulties entrepreneurs encounter when setting up their companies, opening accounts or getting business cards. everest is an innovative response to that need backed up by Mastercard, a titan of the credit card market.

Georges Schmit has more than 35 years of experience in senior economic policy assignments with the Government of Luxembourg. In his most recent position he was Consul General and Executive Director at the Luxembourg Trade & Investment Office in San Francisco. Currently, Georges Schmit serves as a member of the Advisory Board on Space Resources at the Government of Luxembourg.
Before joining Snapswap’s board, Karin Schintgen ran as the CEO of the House of Start-Ups in Luxembourg, an incubator campus connecting people, ideas, and technology in different fields. Prior to this, Karin, a trained lawyer, was also the founder and CEO of the incubator Lux Future Lab, which gives her extensive experience in the Fintech ecosystem in Luxembourg. During her career, Karin also held different C-Level positions at Citibank New York, Kredietbank, BGL BNP Paribas and RTL Group.
Thomas Heldner, CEO of Wallee Group AG, is a highly accomplished executive with a wealth of experience in the financial services industry. Thomas has a proven track record of success in sales and marketing and is exceptionally skilled in international market development. Thomas served as CPO at Worldline Global for 10 years before joining Wallee group. As a multilingual leader, Thomas has a deep understanding of the nuances of different cultures and can easily navigate complex business environments. Thomas has a unique combination of strategic thinking, organizational management, and change management expertise, which he uses to drive growth and innovation within the Wallee group.
Cheikh has held a variety of positions in the payment industry over the last 18 years through various companies. During that time he managed business expansion internationally, Sales growth as well as a strong team management in the payment, financial and Fintech industry. Cheikh has joined SnapSwap as CEO as of 1st August 2023
Olivier is a FinTech enthusiast, promoter of dynamic business relationships, helping in the development of Snapswap for more than 7 years. Graduate of the University in Economics, Management and Finance, Olivier Picavet was also chairman of the main business association leading over 60 people. Olivier Picavet joined SnapSwap in 2017. Olivier became responsible for the business development and achieved outstanding results for the digital onboarding product. He’s now also taking care of Everest and handles the partnerships of the company. Olivier became Deputy CEO in 2019.
After having completed his Master of Laws degree at Turība Business School, Oskar started his career as a lawyer in financial services. Then, he served as head of legal compliance in several financial services and is currently working as a Chief Compliance officer and legal counsellor at SnapSwap.
